It is also one of the most frequently visited museums in Europe with more than 2.5 million visitors per year. In 1461, less than ten years after the Conquest, Fatih Mehmet ordered the construction of Topkapi Sarayi a palace that would be known as Dar-us Saadet, the “House of Felicity”. Topkapi Sarayi remained the seat of the Ottoman Sultans until 1868 when Abdülmecit I moved to the European-style Dolmabahçe Palace farther up the Bosphorus
Hagia Sophia Mosque: Hagia Sophia was built at the command of Emperor Justinian in the years 532 to 537. The courtyard of Haghia Sophia contains a number of minor but fascinating Ottoman structures.

Cavusin: Cavusin is a touristic and charming village and one of the oldest settlements of the region situated along the Goreme-Avanos road in Cappadocia. Christians who lived here during their time created living spaces for themselves in the cavities they dug into the fairy chimneys in the region in order to escape from the pressure of the Romans and to live their religion more comfortably.
Kaymaklı Underground City: Kaymakli Underground City is the biggest and deepest underground settlement in the Cappadocia region. Located in the Kaymaki Village, Kaymakli Underground City is also one most popular places to see in Cappadocia. Kaymakli Underground City has 8 levels underground (only 4 are open) carved from the soft volcanic stone that are connected with each other by narrow tunnels.
Pigeon Valley: Guvercinlik Vadisi (Pigeon Valley) earned its name from the countless man made dovecotes (Pigeon Houses) that have been carved into the soft volcanic tuff. Since ancient times Pigeons have been used in the Cappadocia region for food and fertiliser for the infertile soil.
